Underprivileged Children's Trust - SHACK

The Underprivileged Children's Trust administers the Apex Underprivileged Children's Chalet (The Magic Castle) and the Shoalhaven Heads Apex Cottages for Kids (The S.H.A.C.K.). The day to day running of the two facilities is conducted by long standing sub-committees, which include a Director of the Apex Foundation. Both facilities were funded and built by Apexians.

                      The SHACK 

Officially opened in 1992, this facility has six fully furnished units. Each unit has two bedrooms, private bathroom facilities, a self contained kitchen and loungeroom. It is very close to the beach at Shoalhaven Heads on the NSW south coast.

This venue is available for families as a respite venue from the everyday demands of caring for a child or children suffering from chronic illness or disabilities. It is offered at affordable rates for a weekend or week.
