NSW/ACT CIVILIAN WIDOWS TRUST

The partnership between the Association of Civilian Widows NSW/ACT (ACW NSW/ACT)and the Apex Foundation was developed in 2004 to enable future funding through grants to enhance the lives of young Australians.
Wollongong Women's Refuge, major recipient 2008/09 sought assistance in upgrading and refurbishing their playground.
"As the children are also traumatised by the circumstances, it is beneficial that they have an area that they can relax and enjoy, thus the play area. It is wonderful to see their joyful faces as they have all had trauma in their lives, and to be able to see them beam as they slide down the slide is a sight that is very enriching. I wish to thank the Apex Foundation for all your help in assisting our service."
